CANtilever with Souper Graphics Can•ti•lever(kant’lēvər,-evər)
1. A projecting structure, such as a beam, that is supported at one end and carries a load at the other end or along its length.
The CANtilever sculpture was designed as a cubic form with a corner removed from the base using over 4000 cans of tomato soup. It morphs from a triangle at the base to a square at the top. The sides incorporate two indented surfaces and a projected, unsupported corner. A super graphic exhibiting a checkered pattern has been applied to the straight sides while the indented sides and cantilever encompass a banded pattern.
